Joe Fox, Environmental Health & Safety Manager with Acacia Facilities Management has presented an insightful presentation on behalf of the IPFMA regarding the implications of Section 80 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. Joe’s presentation has specific reference to the individual responsibility, and liability if found in breach, now imposed on Directors and Managers under the Act. The presentation has focused on recent prosecutions and case studies with special consideration for Facility Managers working remotely and otherwise. The presentation has also offered guidance on general compliance measures to protect against such liabilities in Ireland.
