Acacia & The All-Ireland Pollinator Plan

by | Sep 6, 2019 | CSR

Our summer of CSR ended with Acacia buzzing about bees for the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan.

The All Ireland Pollinator Plan is about all of us, from farmers to local authorities, to schools, gardeners and businesses, coming together to create an Ireland where pollinators can survive and thrive.  It is estimated that one third of Ireland’s bee species are threatened with extinction caused by a drastic reduction in the amount of food (flowers) & safe nesting sites in our landscape.

Acacia volunteers spent a day at the Fingal Liam Rogers Center in North County Dublin helping to paint, plant and secure raised flower beds and bird houses.

All these efforts go towards supporting and ensuring a safe zone for the pollinators of Ireland.

Well done to all involved!!
