Acacia Excel – NISO Health & Safety Awards

by | Oct 18, 2019 | Health & Safety

Acacia excel at NISO Awards. This year, we were honoured to receive the higher accolade of Facilities Management & Services Award.  In addition, Acacia was awarded a Consistent High Achiever Award, marking our consistent commitment to health & safety.

What do we put our Health & Safety Award success down to?

– our excellent team of highly skilled and experienced Environmental Health & Safety Advisors, lead by EH&S Manager Karen Hannon.  Karen and her team support clients across the country meet their Occupational Health & Safety requirements, in sectors ranging from Corporate to Pharma & Manufacturing to Healthcare.  In addition, Karen’s team is responsible for EH&S compliance for all Acacia services delivered at our Head Office and client sites.

– all services delivered by Acacia are accredited to:

ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management

ISO 14001 – Environmental Management

ISO 27001 – Information Security Management

ISO 9001 – Quality Management

We operate to the highest standards so you can too!

But we don’t just operate to the highest standards, we set them too!

David O’Brien, Acacia Managing Director, has been instrumental in the development of Technical Standards for ISO 41001 series – Facilities Management Standards, launched earlier this year.  Acacia’s extensive industry knowledge and experience have been pooled with that of other industry experts to develop this standard which will be invaluable to FM service providers and clients alike.

The National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) awards, run in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Safety Group (NISG), are the most recognised and valued awards of their type.  In short, they recognise how organisations manage Health & Safety and celebrate H&S professionals and employers who raise the bar for workplace safety across Ireland.
